When Stuart goes out and about talking to residents of the Dover House estate, one of the things that keeps coming up from families with small kids was the lack of play facilities in the area.

They've got a point: there is not a single children's play area anywhere on the Dover House estate. And this despite there being plenty of open space in the Dover House area.

The largest of these open spaces happens to be the huge Roehampton Playing Fields at the top of Dover House Road just before you reach Putney Heath.

With some imagination, young families' play facilities could be incorporated into the playing fields without impinging one foot onto the games pitches and without compromising the overall security of the fields.

Play facilities for the Dover House estate

I support Stuart King's campaign to get the council to provide a small play area for children and families on the Roehampton Playing Fields at the top of Dover House Road. It's a disgrace that there are no play facilities for young families anywhere on the Dover House estate.

We call on the council to find a way to make better use of the Roehampton playing fields by providing play facilities within them so that the whole community can benefit from this fantastic local resource.

And tick this box if you think the council should also provide play facilities for young children on the Pleasance at the other end of the Dover House estate
